Upcoming Appearances
Here are the events and cons that I am scheduled to appear at so far in 2025.
Life is such a strange trip. There has been so much that has happened since I last checked in with the Blast, but I also can’t say too much has changed other than we have some new monthly expenses that we didn’t have a month ago. And my son has 6 teeth now at almost 9 months old, and he really likes to bite anyone and anything he can as hard as he can. Keep your fingers to yourself or he just might take them off!
This weekend, Saturday April 5th will be my second scheduled appearance of the year. I will be at Comic Fest Waco! A graphic novel event organized and put on by the staff at University High School with Sam Lotfi, Kazu Kabiushi, myself, and several others. It should be a very fun event and there are multiple panels scheduled throughout the day where we talk comics, publishing, and art. I can say, my schools never did anything like this.
The first Saturday of May is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! And once more I will be celebrating one of the best days of the year at Dragon’s Lair Medical Center in San Antonio. Happy to be a part of the event once again at my favorite store!
Early June I will be set up at Phoenix Fan Fusion for my very first time. I’m very much looking forward to attending this event as I’ve heard fantastic things about it from my peers and friends for years. If you are planning to go to the Phoenix con, please make a point to stop by my table. Once I know where I will be located I will make it known.
Late June I will return to Houston for Comicpalooza. Last year’s event was a ton of fun and a huge success, and I am hoping that this year will be comparable.
From June it will be all the way off until October for my next appearance. This time at the hometown show, Big Texas Comicon, where I will have my largest booth setup to date. This is continually my favorite con of the year, if you haven’t been, I highly recommend going.
And last, but not least, my final planned appearance for the year will be a return to Comic Arts San Antonio. C.A.S.A. is a pure comic show. All comics and creators, no celebrities or wrestlers or crafters, but a pure honest comic con. I’ve done this event 3 times already, and while not a large show, it has been an absolute blast each and every time and there is always a great comic creator guest list. You should definitely check it out.
And that’s my con schedule for the year of 2025.
I am open to going to some more events and there is one more that is in the works, but I won’t know for sure if I can go until much later in the year. If you have any other recommendations for cons or appearances let me know. Or if you are a part of a con or event and want to have me as a guest feel free to reach out and we can discuss logistics.
One last share. This is the last day for the Kickstarter of RETURN OF THE MONSTERS by my great friends Shannon and John over at Monster Forge. Check out the Kickstarter and pledge if you’re a monster fan!
That’s it for now. I’m trying to figure out some details to get the next Sky Sharks Remastered issue up and on Kickstarter. Hopefully, there will be more news about that very soon.
Until next time.
